New York Motor Show 2015: Porsche Boxster Spyder

You could be forgiven for thinking that the Porsche Boxster has been abandoned, but Porsche will not allow models sport only one of the most successful they left behind - so that in the New York Motor Show they revealed new cars Boxster Spyder. The previous generation Boxster Spyder has a limit, keterbatas in running, no roof for the car and a smidge more power and Porsche know that there is a big fan of the car, but there were too many compromises.

So for the generation Boxster Spyder 981 we get a lot of pinch but also some comfort. Powertrain is lifted from Cayman GT4 with detune slightly, so there is a 3.8-liter flat-six of the 911 Carrera S produces 370 bhp in this installation. Given that the Spyder has a weight of up to 1,390 kg (30 kg less than the Boxster GTS) performance clearly got a shot in the arm. 0-62 mph takes 4.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 180 mph, much advantage over the GTS.
Unlike GT4, the Spyder was built in the normal production line, so it does not get a whole host of part GT3 coupe, but there are many upgrades over the GTS. There are bigger brakes than 911, up to a height of 20 mm lower thanks, lighter suspension setup and a new more powerful and no satnav or air conditioning as standard to save weight. Advantages of the Spyder is of an entirely new roof to save weight as well - this one manually operated rear deck despite still using electricity.

With Visual you have the nose and tail of the addition of the Cayman GT4 that provide a more aggressive stance and look good, but you only get a low ducktail spoiler at the rear. On the rear deck there are two buttresses that flow from the circle rollover as a nod to the 718 Spyder 1960 models.
