Nissan GT-R Future

Japanese car manufacturer, Nissan, reportedly is preparing the latest generation of the Nissan GT-R. This sports car will use a radical engine adopted from racing cars Nismo GT-R LM.

This is justified by the Technical Director and Principal Race Team Nissan, Ben Bowlby. According to him, the latest GT-R will use a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 as used in the event the Nissan race car Le Mans 24-hour endurance in LMP1 this year.

With power reaching 1,250 horsepower, this engine seems too big for a car with a GT-R. But according to Bowlby, a number of adjustments to be made in order to be applied on the GT-R.

One interesting thing, Nissan will be complete with KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems). This means that this sports car will use an electric motor for the front and rear wheels. This makes the Nissan line with manufacturer Ferrari Ferrari KERS system also apply LaFerrari.
